The scratches do work well with the image... I'm thinking of a couple slides and negatives I should throw in the dirt =)

Very nostalgic image! I like the blurred traffic very much. I am sorry to hear about all the mishaps of your camera and film. I wonder if we were in Paris at the same time. I think this image captured the very essence of the city.

I like it a lot Seffan. The warm light makes the corn look almost beautiful -- but to the farmer it must be heartbreaking. Thanks.

I agree with Oliver about the proportions. Matching the size of the flowers to the canvas (or the other way around), would work even better. If you would want the flowers themselves (not the stems) to be big still, you could use the perspective given by a wide-angled lense, going closer to the flowers. For the rest, I like the idea a lot. I think though that maybe some careful changes in light could make it even stronger (like a bit more light on the flowers to get a bit more detail in them and more vivid colours). I was thinking about maybe also splashing some water on the floor as well, but I don't know how that would look. Just an idea... Regards!

Great idea, very well executed. Just one thing: if the sunflowers would fit the proportions of the frame a bit more this could be a total winner!
Gongratulations! Oliver

I love this picture! I also would have liked to see more movement in the picture with use of a slower shutter , but you make do with what you got! Never the less the picture is awesome!

Considering how you took the photograph - I think it's an interesting image. It is awkward though to try and point your camera at someone at times like this when you think it would make a good photograph. Taking a discreet shot is more fun anyway.....

Thanks... unfortunately I cannot set the shutter time on the digital, I can adjust the evaluation control - but that's all. Unfortunately I didn't have my praktica with me at that moment. So it's always make the best with what you got. That's what I'm trying...

Not a bad capture. I would like to see an even slower shutter speed so as to put a bit of motion in the cars.

I like the coloration and the flare in the corner kind of ties everything together for composition. I think it could use a bit of a dodge on the fingers but all in all a nice shot. Did you end up with any blisters?
