i liek this shot far beter than the black and white one
the b&w shot doesnt do justice to the subject
i'm so pleased that you used a fill flash to capture all the beauty the model has to offer

great capture alan, i love the true black in your photograph. many times when ppl convert a color photo to black and white it looks so plain but your dramatic values make this photograph really stand out.

hey alan, actually i shoot in jpeg simply because of the convenience. the pentax raw file format is incompatible with my educational version of photoshop. if it wasn't for that, i would shoot in raw all the time. i love raw, it's a far superior file format (consider it a digital negative). with raw you have the ability to change many more aspects of the photograph that you typicaly would be restricted in doing with a jpeg format due to the compression. if you can, i strongly suggest you shoot in raw if you have the option of doing so.

i think this is one of the few shots where sepia truely works efectively
it creats such a great atosphere for the photo and compliments the mood of the photo very well
i love this photo cause it reminds me of my town my grandma lives in (sprotawa)
the parks and small towns in general are so beautiful in poland

i used a light green filter and waited for the sun to be at a level where it didn't overpower any colors. it was also a failry overcast day.
