This photo has an almost lyrical quality to it, Mehul. The branches of the tree are so delicate, and the purple of the sky behind it, and the lighting in general, is magical. Very nice.

Super crisp with great lines and colors, Michele!
Cruises... I've been on two (I won the first) and hated them both. I'm not a get "dressed up for dinner" kind of gal... and I go stir crazy on the ships... they are too well maintained and hard to find any rust to take photos of!

Thanks, Albert.
I used 400 ISO here. I choose the F5.6 setting because the background was very ugly (trucks) and I wanted to get rid of as much as possible. I applied a little sharpening in Picasa (I am woefully ignorant of PS), Nikon D200 doesn't apply sharpening in the camera, so the pictures can be a little soft sometimes.

This is great, it has an almost surrealistic quality to it, with the way the milkiness of the water meets the whiteness of the clouds in the mid-ground. I love the low angle and the sharpness and color of the rocks in the foreground. Beautiful, Carsten.

Incredible details-- the eyes are (or eye, I guess, since I can only see one, I am assuming there are two...) are spectacular. It has an almost quizzical look on his face. Very cute. I love owls.
