the hardest thing for a photographer shooting abroad and on the street is to achieve a good communicaiton with the people you shoot.here you really managed to have a warm touch with them which leaded to a natural shot with a documentary taste, congragulations.

Very nice image, John. The saturation seems a bit much, even for Velvia, and the straw just in front of her face is distracting, but I enjoy her expression and your composition with all of the lines and angles surrounding her round face. Regards. Tim

John K.!
This appears to be a noble striving. Are they meaning to stop the distortion of all history as taught in schools, or specifically the history presented about Korea (and, one assumes, about Japan)?
Condemned to repeat mistakes...

John K.!
The intensity of ragged hair and rugged stare here is overwhelming. The combination is enough to make a cup of coffee wobble, and it keeps a viewer fixed, almost as if something dramatic was going to happen. The smiles and closeness in the painting on the wall contrast with the stoney glare on the apparently solitary man with the hair. It is a bit like me when someone threatens me in a cinema or theatre.
Yeah!
