Would give a nice lunch for my frog, David. An excellent capture of these insects. Sometimes it happens that you see things only at home. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Markus

PS: I tried several times to kiss my frog, but without success. I have to stick with my usual princesses. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks Toshi...Agree F1 is great also (a fan myself-AS/AP era was great... Perhaps KR/FA will give us another great era)...

Anyway I love ChampCAR just as much...

Thanks for the comment

Bob I am north of Toronto - But the images where taken in the Momo Hills/Hockley Valley area.
I had never seen these before either. These where in an open area/higher ground away from water!!! go figure. Also it was latter in the afternoon? Say 4-5pm.

Nice one. I've only ever seen the males. Where in Ontario are you? This one was shot in Stoney Creek.

Beautiful image of this damselfly. We call them something like 'witch doctors' where I come from.

The DOF is remarkable, and the fact that the damselfly is eating a bug is remarkable, but what sends this one over the moon for me is that incredible blue color against the soft green background.

Congrats on the SC.

Fantastic! I've seen a lot of damselfly images, but I've never seen a capture of one eating. Great timing. The details are fantastic! Congrats on the SC award--well deserved.
