Such a surreal shot. I like the forest background, how it seems to fade in and out in the snow. And the bright snow on the roof and foreground really makes the building stand out.

Best,
Dave

what a nice moment and good eye you have. It was too small to see it on the thumbnail, only when I read the title I became curious. I love those little details in life. The expression on the statue works great with the butterfly sitting there

Thanks for your comments. I just purchased the Canon G2 digital camera recently from a friend and have not learned all of the settings yet. Your right though, I would have liked the background out of focus a bit more also. I will play with the manual settings more.

Ben, Golden indeed. IMHO you might want to open up your lens a few stops. let the background go out of focus. let your tree have the forground to itself. Excellent composition in this frame.

I like the compostion. It looks as if the tools were purposely placed and you captured that fact. It needs some slight adjusting to make it pop more.

I defenitely love the composition, I have been having a lot of fun snapping the fall leaves. Nice mixture of colors and fading leaves. Alison
