Very nice way to take a picture of someone. The background is very nice, does not detract from the person, but so much nicer than 'just a plain background'

Good original idea but there is a bit more negative space down below. The pixellations also show or is it deliberate? The composition seems to be stretched out horizontally as the height of the people seems undersized, as if increasing the breath of the frame without increasing the length?

Thanks for the comment, Lee. Mother nature gets all the credit here. The water was actually flowing around a rock which had an ice form on it creating the illusion of a fast shutter in the middle.

I like this shot and after seeing the shutter speed I was amazed. The center appears to be a fast action stop whereas the sides are blurred by the motion. How did you accomplish that?
