Awwww... well... shucks! You know I'd love to do it if I were ever in your area or vice versa. I'm always afraid that when I do work for someone else they wont like it though :( It's so much easier when you are doing it for yourself!

Ha! LOL Well... I actually used a black lip pencil and then VERY carefully applied clear gloss over it. I got the "perfect" lines with the pencil and just kinda gobbed on the clear without disturbing the pencil on the lips. I had to be very careful once it all was applied.

Thank you, Gayle :)

Ummm... patience and snapping MANY photos??? LOL USUALLY I will just do it handheld. I actually just bought a cheapie remote to hold me over until I can afford a good one, but it is only like a foot long, so not much I can do with it! LOL On these I did some handheld and some on the tripod with the self timer.

The DOF is SOOOO shallow it almost looks super-imposed! Cool! Love the colors.

Instant favorite! I love this portrait! It's kind of gritty, but still pretty. I love the tone and texture and she is very emotive! Love it!

I love what you do with this distortion thing. I'm not sure what the new challenge is all about, but from the title alone I thought to myself, "I bet Paul's photos with the truck and little girl would go PERFECTLY!" :)

This is pretty! Ther seems to bit a little blur with her lashes... maybe she was blinking or you caught her as she was closing her eyes?

Anyhow... love the style!

Rach, another great idea, just little techincal issues. Push that point and shoot to it's limits and learn as much as you can with the manual modes before you get your SLR. Believe me, once you get it, it's gonna be a whole new ball game learning the functions and the lenses!

This shot is also a bit "noisy" what might help with both the silhouette and the noise is to do a little editing. Go into PS, open this pic, duplicate the background layer and change it to an overlay layer, then add a guassian blur. Adjust the opacity until it looks good to you. This will darken the silhouette just a tad and also soften some of the noise!

Glad to see you shooting lots!

I really like this idea/concept, especially wiht the light from behind. Maybe you can try it again with someone feeding Teagan so you can get a good clean shot. I think it's worth trying to reshoot. Very well composed!

I like this shot, good emotion and profiles.. but it's a little too grey... I think it would be better with richer B&W tones :)
