Carefully reassembled segments of a seed from a tree. Something that I'm not familiar with.

Looks like a starfruit but other than that, as I live a sheltered life, I haven't really got a clue Ernie.

Yep, have had my encounters with this plant when I was young. If you grab it, it doesn't sting.

It sure is tiny Ernie. Great idea for composure, laying in your hand gives us a sense of proportion.

The amazing length to the antenna influenced the beetle's name to 'longhorn' and your shot has displayed that feature excellently.

Good find Ernie and I don't think we have an equivalent in the UK. Good news....they don't bite; bad news they stink and don't look very pretty.

We also have a Banana Slug(Ariolimax) that lives in the West side of the state and they are bigger and they have spots but not on the head. Take a photo of some of your slugs or land snails. Happy slugging!

Fearsome looking creature. Well 'spotted' and captured; sorry about the pun . We don't have this variety in the UK but my wife regards and slug her mortal enemy. She is, of course, a highly biased gardener
