The amazing length to the antenna influenced the beetle's name to 'longhorn' and your shot has displayed that feature excellently.

We also have a Banana Slug(Ariolimax) that lives in the West side of the state and they are bigger and they have spots but not on the head. Take a photo of some of your slugs or land snails. Happy slugging!

Fearsome looking creature. Well 'spotted' and captured; sorry about the pun . We don't have this variety in the UK but my wife regards and slug her mortal enemy. She is, of course, a highly biased gardener
