I disagree with Paul completely. The head chopped off can be a good thing. I like it very much. So there!

Wonderful capture -- I prefer never to crop tops of children's heads off -- did your frame get the complete head? Try turning camera up into vertical when going for such a close-up -- the whole head satisfies our unconscious heart/mins/soul more.

Beverly - yes this is Nikon's new DSLR - I HIGHLY recommend it - definitely more advanced than the D100 - feel free to ask about...

Paul, agreed - more candid than portrait - I like when it "tells a story" and if that story is on multiple levels even better -- the journey is definitely worthwild -- Thanks so much. Kind Regards, CIndi

This is more a candid than a portrait -- I value candids highly for when succesful as this one they catch someting human and meaningful albeit fleeting -- and you caught two varied "thinkings" going on -- great, Cindi!

Cindi, This has been in my favorites for a long time. In my opinion, artistically, this "hits the sky."
I like the abstract feeling of place with the angle of the foot. The space between the shoe and the foot lends a unique sense of movement and anticipation.
Is she going out for the evening or returning in the wee hours? The subtlety of color really enhances this mood. This is very Ilalian Vogue or French Vogue. Congrats, Bill.
PS. I really wish I had taken this photo.

The eyes are the window to the soul -- especially so with babies. A powerful photograph, Cindi! Simply yet superabundantly there for us to behold.

Candids are always difficult -- especially of bikers! -- this is a good catch -- especially withthe flag waving and the whole tone of masculinity and past suffering -- Good job, Cindi!

Great photo, Cindi. My only suggestion would be a little extra sharpness to the eyes. IMO that would make a really good photo great.
