Nice capture of Horseshoe Bend. I esp. like the lighting on the center peninsula against the dark ring of river and how it pops out of the image. I was there a few months ago, but it was near sunset and light in the canyon was poor. Thanks for your comment on my image Grand Canyon Sunset. -- Naomi

Nice shot of the bend, I'm so close, I will eventually get to see this. Your 12-24 lens really worked well here. I just got a 10-20 so I'm pretty excited about getting the wider angles.
great colors, too.

Many thanks again Jose. My daughter is an elementary school teacher. As a special projects coordinator for class she shredded crayon bits & pieces with a cheese grater, sprinkled them between wax paper and ironed. I used a lightbox for backlighting and a tripod to get this shot. It reminded me of my projection booth days, Faye Wray and King Kong.....(RHPS)-john

Oh this really got me fooled! I got all melancholic thinking that this was a letter to a lost friend who had committed suicide although I did wonder how a naked woman fit in this picture!
Suicide Girl...A band of some kind?

marvelous shot full of mysticism due to the geyser. LOvely colours as well. I´ve seen geysers in Iceland and boing springs- it adds magic to the surroundings.

This is very good!!! I like it a lot. It has a 40s kind of feel to it, somewhat like an old detective movie:) Wonderful clarity on the details with lovely muted tones, super composition and lighting
