Ciao Giuseppe,
No, not wild, just a house plant. We do have a small attached greenhouse to our house. Handy in the winter to bring in outside summer plants and we grow a little lettuce and a couple tomato plants as well.
The picture is of the greenhouse this summer with a huge cucumber we grew! Thanks for your interest.
Cheers,
Greg

Ciao Giuseppe,
Sorry to take so long to answer you. Look here
http://www.turffiles.ncsu.edu/turfid/csPagedPdField.aspx?Pl antID=SMIRO
for details on greenbriars. Our farm has lots of them. Theygrow in acid soil and can become so thick that it is almost impossible to walk through. Our goats like to eat them, though.
Cheers and buon natale!

Giuseppe,
I'm not sure it is the one you mentioned. See if you can get plants.usda.gov/plantguide/pdf/cs_assy.pdf
This should give you more information than you want!!
Asclepias syriaca is the latin name of this variety. Verena says she never heard of it in Europe. But, who knows? Monarch butterflies are dependent on it for food. They migrate thousands of miles every year to Mexico to overwinter.
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Giuseppe,
These are what's left after the "petals" of ironweed have fallen off. See my picture "brushes" When they are fresh they are very strong purple - think of got a shot of them in the portfolio as well. These are about 1cm in dia.
Thanks again

i migliori auguri

HI Giuseppe,
I don't think b+w would do much for this shot. I find white and red to be the hardest to capture true texture. You have succeeded well here. The focus is a bit off on my screen. Maybe you wanted that? or- il diavolo vento?? How about that for timeing. You posted right after I did.
Auguri!

I don't think you would get much more in B+W with this one. I find white and red the hardest to capture true texture. You have succeeded well here. The focus is a bit off on my screen, but maybe you wanted that - or- il diavolo vento?

Thanks, Giuseppe,

This is bromesedge, a grass that usually grows on land that is lacking lime (calcium). i picked it from a poor area of our farm. Even though there are no flowers in bloom, I'll be posting some dried ones for awhile.
Ciao!

Thanks, Giuseppe. Flowers are pretty much gone now and the leaves have only a few days left before they hit the forest floor. We'll see what presents itself for photos. Still a few more to post till then, though.

Hi and thanks,
Actually, the bright leaf if one that was turned differently than the others and therefoe caught the sun much more brightly. In full size, it can be seen quite clearly and is not blown out, although i admit it looks like this here. Thanks for your time.

Ciao Giuseppe,
What an extraordinary bloom, and so well captured. I find it so difficult to have success outside since there always seems to be the slightest breeze keeping everything in motion.
Congratulations!

Giuseppe,
Hi and welcome home! Thanks for your note and kind words. It is very good to hear from you and we are glad you enjoyed your trip and made good use of it photographically!. We had a guest the last few days, so I didn't have time to answer you right away. I've also run out of new shots, but maybe in the next few days I'll get to it again. My wife and I just took a
look at your portfolio and the mountain series. Captivating, as always. You should be very pleased with the following you have. You bring joy to many people.
Again, thanks for taking the time to view and comment on my stuff.
Auguri,

Thanks, Jan
I thought that might be a question. I saw this guy from quite a distance and quickly took a few shots. There was a bush right in front of me and I guess some of it got in the way. I have others without the green, but still felt this one told the story the best. So goes it.

Hi Alicia,
Thanks for answering. I tried the translator, and I too, think it is not very good. This site is a litte better http://www.worldlingo.com/en/products_services/worldlingo_t ranslator.html

I know Giuseppe is on vacation and it seems you are friends, that is why I asked. Do you undersatnd Italian? Capisce lei Italiano? I can write in Italian fairly well, and I can almost understand Spanish. My wife says, we should learn Spanish next!! Gracias,
Un saludo,
Greg
