Hey Alex,
I'd took a closer look and was checking the internet when I came on this site. The species that you have shot is Empusa Pennata. I found a site about this species with some pictures where it looks just like yours. Here is the link to the site. It was great fun to look it up so if you have another insect you wanna now about pleae let me know.
Hope you have all the info you need.

In plus, frunza este mai verde decat in realitate, datorita PSP.

Poza este in primul rand foarte interesanta!

Thanks again and a hundred times again for the lovely comments you leave behind you (thanks for not using copy-paste in your messages).
I'm having hard time finding the species this individual belongs to, though...
Adding it's name will be a nice update of the details of this photo.
I'll let you know when that happens.
Cheers!

Wow, Alex, that is some unusual and interesting praying mantis! You've done a remarkable job of photographing it for us to see clearly. Excellent! And thank you for also showing his natural environment.:)

Sometimes, I have the same problem with the comments, but not always. Today, and recently, I am getting instant feedback. Other times, I do not get the comments at all, so I do as you say, check back.:)

You are very welcome, Alex!:)

HAHAHA! It becomes more and more interesting. Up until now the people I've shown these images to have divided themselves in two equal parties: one that likes the colored version and the other that prefers the b/w one. So, welcome to the color party!!!
They all agree, nevertheless, that the last picture I've uploaded (Praying - with the praying mantis) is incredible, especially after they find the mantis in its environment (a picture attached to a comment on that page).
Thanks again!!!

I don't know why usefilm doesn't send immediately the new comment notifications. This is why, once again, I answer you in delay. I guess I'm gonna have to view each photo separately to make sure I answer as quickly as possible any comment.
Thank you for the comment! I really enjoy people who like my work, especially if it surprises even those with huuuuuge karma!

One other thing. Can you take the time and tell me what you think of the B/W version of the photo that you can find in my portofolio?
I would very much like to hear your opinion on it and on the comparison for both.
Thank you!

Thank you for the lovely comment and for the interest you've shown towards this picture (and all of the praying mantis all arround) :)
But, I've looked up Idolomantis Diabolica and found photos that don't resemble this one. I would be more than glad if you could provide me with more info on the webpages one can study in order to find the right species this individual belongs to.
Thank you!
