Breathtaking scenery, well performed mountainscape. I would not change the warp of the house (would change the mountainscape behind, and I think it is mor einteresting as is).

This is an excellent photo, well spotted and executed ! Because of the compository strenth I would love to see a B&W / toned version, you dont need color here, IMO.

Cheers

This is my favourite of your latest uploads. Your creativity is unfailing ! Did you shoot in Av mode wide open for shallow DOF deliberately, or is the slight blur @ the left and right margin unintended ? I wonder how it would come out with more DOF.

Cheers

A busy scenery, but not really crowded. A lot to see and discover, good idea the B&W to eleiminate distracting color messages. Very good street shot !

Colors and tones have a painterly quality, very beautiful and atmospheric landscape. Kind of irritation comes from the little road that leads my eyes out of the scene to nowhere, so I have the feeling of two separate parts - way and fieldscape - without interaction. I have to think about this, not sure.

There is something special about those super wides, my eyes get stuck at your wide angles. This fisheye seems to be tack sharp, and its (normal) distortion is very effective here. I love the curves of the tree and branches, and the lakeshore. Excellent photo !

Roger, the 10-22 zoom is really nice. With 1.6 crop factor 16 mm in film terms, one of the best equirectangular super wides I know. Almost no distortion, decent sharpness and contrast. It?s mounted always on my 300D...

A wonderful summer motif, very good use of shallow DOF. The sharp detail is nice against the blurred background.

Roger, indeed interesting. Sounds as if you are quite engaged with bits and bytes ;-) Would be a great enhancement for pano addicts here...

I am glad no one had the idea to clone out the power line ;-) There are several reasons that make this shot successful. First, the choice of camera point that matches trees and mountainscape. Second, the panoramic format. And third, the pole and powerline make the composition balanced, IMO. Very good landscape !

Being a fog addict myself, I love the quadtone version ! Nice lead-in, and wonderful atmosphere. When this kind of light and weather comes up, I become flustered... November could be productive ;-)

This is my favourite of this foggy series. My first thought was "crop @ the bottom" - but that would interact with the branches? beautiful reflections. So I dont find any nitpick, this time. Exposition, colors and tones, composition - excellent !

A very good landscape, the backlit foreground works well as kind of framing fo rthe beautiful raising mist. Maybe a sacrifice @ the left would not hurt, not sure.

Very nice lighting and colors, but I would crop @ the right side to get rid of the car, also to avoid a centered placement of the tree.

Thats my favourite scenery and theme now, mist and fog (but, alas ! I?m not an early bird, too lazy...) Wonderful foggy atmosphere. The power line thing is a matter of philosophy, not a big issue for me here

Roger, sorry no other larger uploads. Really a pity, maybe UF could allow for Quicktime format to be shown, nice for such panos

Now thats just after my fancy ! Superb colors and lighting, great contrast. I would second that suggestion with the sacrifice @ the bottom since I dont think the dark space there does contribute so much here.

Great capture, your choice of camera point and perspective is superb. Funny, but my first idea even with the preview was "B&W", and then Shawn had already had the same idea. BTW, thanks for the nice "about" story

Superb macro, the panoramic crop is very good ! I like the shallow DOF against the sharp detail. To clone that little stick @the bottom out or not is a matter of philosophy (I know, it was there. But I would get rid of that stick)

Hey, superb stitch ! For 24bit color I love Canons PhotoStitch also, it is very powerful and smooth. The composition is very good, especially the tree on the left side makes this pano stand out of the crowd !

Ann, thanks for your thoughtful comment, you make really valuable points, and it is always good to read your opinion. The "2 landscapes to 1 portrait" issue is as follows: you know the 300D has 3:2 ratio, and the maximum would be a 4:3 portrait. This is a 3.75:3 ratio, so you can see I did not have much overlap this time. Almost too little overlap, but it worked. In fact, I had another third shot for the middle part, I shoot normally handheld with 1/3 overlap. This time I had so much overlap that I could use the upper and lower landscape of the three and dismiss the middle. Believe me, I am glad you did not detect any stitch this time ;-) If you look VERY closely to the center you could imagine the overlap zone.
I was just too lazy to stitch three, because I had some composites for each one and a tricky job to match colors and tones exactly.

Cheers
