Hi Roy well I tell you! Daring indeed and thanks for that background - I did have to search for his eye - that pesky bush was covering - who the HELL cares it's a D day shot - DO or DIE! Hey traded in the D100 and got the D70 - Far better - nice shot my friend. Bring it on! WHen are you going back to Africa? Thinking about Thailand here...Kind Regards, Cindi

Pat I must comment on this color shot of yours...which I know is a rarity from your standard MO - lovely -- of course stylist is another title for you - it is noticed - should be noted that it's nice to see the natural flow of 'models' - face up, face down, props...Kind Regards, Cindi

Hi Pat I rated a 7 here...Tight crop good ...you should also put in humor category...I got a chuckle from this, moved me to comment...the move to black and white is good to as the contrast only adds to shot - well done moving on to some more of your work...Kind Regards, Cindi

Philip again 7s - really nice portraits in your portf. many supreme. The texture of his vest and "straw" sling against the crisp white shirt and patterned hat - aside from wonderful expression only adds to the depth of this portrait. Kudos, fine work indeed! Kind Regards, Cindi

Hi Dina - thanks for your comment here, since this was a darkroom print there was no shall we say 'photoshop' editing used, thus light from above through his hair through palm - ps work often makes us "gods' - I'm laughing hard now! To me getting down to REAL black and white and I TOO have the digitals - forces me to really pay attention to bw aspects of 'truer nature' -- your opinion is greatly appreciated, don't feel anyone should apologize for that. Wanted to share more detail. So you may say I swing Both ways - digital and traditional - with a special fondness for the 'old school" - Regards, Cindi - Let's here it for working!!!!

Thank You Paul for those kind words on this shot -- funny how a mistake in film made for a more "interesting' shot - as well to me it has a timeless quality - Nothing like getting back to basics on true black and white/darkroom etc! Regards, Cindi

Paul this is an intriguing photo - surreal, but then again a new snowfall "for real' can have that effect - I'm on a special screen here, so I thought I'd ask about the upper left tree in frame with sky - in your opinion what was the most challenging of this proces. Nice work, 7s. Kind Regards, Cindi

Richard you must fill me in on your "take" on film choice as I have some myself and will be experimenting with. I like lighting here and like the as I say true BW your portf shows - I am both a purist and a digital photographer, but prefer the old school - back to roots and seeing the control/creativity in the darkroom. Love the format - seen in your portf - I've got a medium format on horizon. Feel free to share your advice within my work. 7s on this. Nice work. Regards, Cindi

Denzil like the stop action here - you'd think shutter would be a bit higher than 1/60th - in regards to the background it gives a ramped effect, but really this is a forum to get feedback and of course this type of shot can be re-done with less busy backfround -- credit to you for capturing "catching some air". Kind Regards, Cindi
