That is a great capture kl! Is it my eyes or are some items black and white and others like her eyes and the buttons in color?

Ghostly. It looks like the wind was blowing for your long exposure. I really like how it came out, and the black and white really adds to the mood. The darkened corners look like they may have been an addition(?), and I think they really help the picture.

I like the color and composition of this peice. If i were to be picky though i would have liked a slightly wider frame as to be able to see the reast of the barn (left side) Other than that this is one of my favouritte peices.
Cheers

KL:

I like this shot very much. There is something about an abandoned building that makes you wonder "WHY". The perspective is slightly scewed, but I think that compliments the deterioration of the building. I would have liked to have seen the roof not cut off though.

All in all, a very pleasing photo. Thank you for sharing it.

The trees frame the falls nicely. You utilized the slow shutter speed quite well.

i did (obviously) add a vignette when converting from raw, because the light was pretty flat and I was trying to add some contrast. admittedly, though, i do add some vignette to many of my images, as just a matter of personal taste.

at any rate, i'm glad it had some kind of effect on you, although i'm not sure if peculiar means good or bad : )

thanks for the comment!!

I came back to this image a few times trying to decide what makes it feel a little peculiar. There is fairly prominent vignetting that makes it feel like you are looking through a cloudy tunnel. The desolate atmosphere is unmistakable.
