On this shot, Chris, the blacks are crushed a bit too much for me. Her face is isolated in a pool of featureless black. I'd prefer to see some detail in the hair, even if it's faint.

ONE OF THE BEST! YEA, in portrait we need to see originality and here that way you 'use' her cloth to cover diagonal hald of the face is absolutely artistique! Also the details roundly her eye adds a lot on originality. Good lighting...classical on that. Really great job!
Regards!

oh my! Excellent. Surely great darkness roundly her face and hand...yea, even her hand placed into the frame with a very artistique way, in your position, I could ever erace these objects that shining near her neck! Anyway very nice, and the rings (nose, leap) adds uniqueness!

Excellent. I like the awy she does not see on the lens. Also I like that soft azure color on her leaps....aggrr...bad english, hope you understand me.
Very good lighting conditions too Chris.
Best regards!

Wow, another great portrait! Superb eyes and face. I love the warm hues on her face - it has a feeling of velvet, great contrast & nice touch with the little golden padlock :) Wonderful photo - fashion magazine quality :)Ina

Well, when shooting macro, try using strobes or flash to give it as much light as you can. Then, you can stop it down to f 8 or 11, and get a less-than-paper-thin DOF. ;)

yes it was f2.8. It is a great lens, it takes a bit to get used to because of the fine DOF on it especially for macros but once you get the hang of it you can do some cool stuff.

Wow. One of the test labs said it had the best optics of any lens they'd tested. Judging by this shot, I canna argue. ;)
