A really good photo here, in colour or B&W, compositionally strong, and interesting subject matter. One to be proud of, Pankaj.

Good photo, Hesham. These photo-documentary shots in your portfolio are very interesting.

Well done.
Martin.

Striking beauty, this model has a great look. I like the indirect attitude to the camera. The flash is a little unsubtle, but I like this shot.

Well done.

Hi Sheila. I don't know much.
Since I have got a digital camera, I can manually bracket way up and down both sides of an exposure suggested by the camera metering, and do it for free, and review the shots and see what nearly works. There's a 3 shot bracket mode built in, but for specific harsh lighting like this photo, this will not be enough, you would need to underexpose 75% of the content of this shot to get the detail back in the faces. And if you are shooting film you will need to guess hard for spontaneous shots like this. Either close the aperture more OR speed up the shutter. But the camera is easily fooled so you have to take over.

Thanks for the kind words.
Martin.

Nice subject matter, nice composition with good subject/background contrast. The focus is a little off, and the sunlight is too bright to allow the detail in the face to show. Manually control that camera. Let less light in somehow. Everything else will be darker, but the overlit faces will be better
controlled.

Nice interior photo, Joe. I think the PS work made it a little grainy, though. If you could retain a lot of the saturated translucent colour without the noise in the shadows, it would be even better.

Nice isolation of subject, Volker. Good colour-composed image.

I like this real life portrait, turtles, eels, who knows what?.... It's not something you see everyday, unless you are Ms Anny Ho.

Good shot, good focus on the face.
The long composition was probably more striking when you had vertical colour in the material for colour contrast. NIce work.

Yes, I like it too. I just shot a similar teapot, different lighting, so this is good for reference.

Great wildflower shot, includes all the riotous colour and light of summer.

The foreground flowers are montbretia of some kind. They are wild and plentiful in Southwest Ireland. Originally South African, I think. And the photo?
I like it. Are foreground spiky leaves bad feng shui for photographs?

Good composition, nice clarity and saturation. Nice photo.
Obviously well off the tourist trail.
I think you should border this for better presentation. Try a few simply obviously hideous ones first, you know the ones everyone else uses but you never would, and work from there.

Love the color here, B&W would not explain the photo at all, a great, slightly disturbing shot.

Hello Sammy, this is obviously Eggsellent. I am glad to be the first to say that.
It really should inspire us mere mortals to try and work towards this level of photography.
Great work.

Nice hairy caterpillar, I think the really hairy ones like this are often moths, but that's just a guess.

Martin.

As already stated below, by Elisa, this is what us foreigners perceive as being Japanese in composition. I like it.

Nice still life. Great warm tones.
I think more space around the objects would help.
Very European, though, wouldn't you say?

Good image. Very smooth.
Converts nicely to B&W if you like that kind of thing. (I tried it for my own amusement).

Beautiful shot, Angela, and you have lots of them. The light in this one catching highlights here and there is very attractive.

Great mood in this shot. I think I would burn back the grass behind the canoes, the green jumps out a bit.

Excellent.
