Excellent photo. I like the crop on it. You left enough to make the viewer aware that the dog and man are standing in a doorway, but cropped tight enough for the focus to remain on them. The high exposure and fuzziness of the outdoors leaves it up to the viewer to imagine what the subjects are looking at.

I prefer this one over the color version and over the one with a gradient. This one highlights the geometry of the scene which I think works best for this photo.

The rocks provide a nice textured, neutral backdrop. The mark in the right rock even helps draw the eye towards the subject. I would like to have seen more of her right hand and arm since I like the positioning of her arms and hands. If not then perhaps cropping just above her right hand.

Nice concept. Unfortunately for my eyes, the background is too intense. I keep wanting to look at the background, but due to the low DOF and blurryness , the background is tough to look at straight. If you can take the photo again, try it with a little smaller aperture. I would be curious to see how that looks.

Was that the true color of the inside, or did the lighting make it turn out pinkish/orange in the photo? I have mixed feelings on the people, on one hand, they distract from the overall WOW of the place, on the other hand, they offer a perspective of how massive the inside is.

I really enjoy this photo. The subject is not unique, but the perspective and the angles certainly are. Excellent job turning what could be a routine photo into something exciting to look at.

Paul, I take alot of interior shots as well so I know it can be a pain to carry a tripod around inside with you, but it's the only way you will get clear, focused shots inside darkened buildings (without using a flash anyway). A tripod can help level the shots as well.

Well done composition. The only suggestion I have is to either crop above the bridge shadow or take the photo at a different time of day. The shadow is a little distracting from an otherwise great shot.
