Good timing on this capture. I think this image could be improved by having more space in front of the squirrel, and a lower exposure by about 1/2 stop. While the eye does seem to be the sharpest point of focus (which is correct), I think there needs to be more dof and overall sharpness. The image quality looks like it was cropped from a much larger image. Thank you for sharing your work. Hope this is of use.

Howard, thank you for taking the time to view and comment on my photo.

This is an interesting building & photo.

We share similar photographic interests. I'm an amateur by choice in the central PA region.

You may enjoy some of my photos, particularly the ones of architecture (including our state capitol building) at these locations:

Thanks again, and I hope you find the time to stop by one or all of these sites. (I do NOT make any money from them).

I really like the effect you achieved in this. The color, texture, and vignetting/fall-off make what might be a very cluttered scene in a 'straight-up' shot into a truly coherent composition that moves the viewer's eye through the frame in a flowing, harmonic stream.

Good capture. I thought maybe this one was made in China (or Pennsylvania).

I've missed some good signs because I didn't have a camera or couldn't get the photo op to shoot them. Our township has one that reads: "ROAD COMSTRUCTION" and there was a sign at a local farm that sold Apple Butter & Jam and some letters had fallen off so it read, "BUTT JAM."

Ouch. Interesting documentation. Glad you walked away from this. In 1973, after working my first week ever of midnight shift, I fell asleep at the wheel of a 1965 Rambler 550 and plowed it into a concrete bridge abutment at, I'm guessing, about 30-40 mph. No collapsable column, no airbags, no shoulder belts. My lap belt slingshotted me forward into the column. I smashed the big chrome horn right off the steering wheel into pieces with my face, knocking 9 1/2 of my teeth out and shattering my jaw so bad the rear of it was sticking out of my chin in pieces, and I split the back of my head open against the roof as the column pushed me instantly upward. They found me hanging by my lap belt out the door with my face in the gravel and blood, teeth, and bone fragments everywhere. All I remembered was the lights going out and thinking, 'this is it.' Car wrecks - don't like 'em. Sorry for the long-winded story, but it's true, and it's one I'll never forget.

Wonderful low light shot. So much detail everywhere and nothing blown away. You found that sweet time just before it is totally dark where such photos can be made and you did very well with it. Low light photography is what prompted me to get interested in photography as a child.

Interesting shot. A tough one to do, especially having only a camera bag for a rest for such a long exposure. The exposure of the foreground is nicely balanced with the cityscape.
