Very surreal impressionism. . .I really like to see simple elements put in a dramatic way.

"Not even good pornography". . .you've got issues. Saying you're not out to offend but suggesting the photographer to have only his mother look at them. . . you've got issues. Something only a little boy reaching puberty would take -- or enjoy. . you've got issues.

Suzie, you are the only woman commenting so far on this photo. All the rest are positive comments but all by men. As a man and a photographer I happen to like this photo. Your comments seem to make assumptions that are not anywhere in evidence in this photo. All submissions should stand as they are without appendices and explanations as to what the photographer was trying to do, his mentality, etc. . .suppose we crop this photo from the rounded shoulder to the top edge of the frame beneath her nose (where it now ends). The viewer would still be able to see the delicacy of the human face. The forms in this photo as it stands are clear, sharp, delicate and artistic. . something worthy of praise. I think your comments have value and therefore ought to be considered, but assumptions regarding the photographer's or model's psyche aren't immediately relevant in critiquing a photo.

The light and dark tones here work especially well. The elements are very inviting and very simple. Outstanding work.

A very bright and soft image. . .like I said, I can see why this girl is your favorite model. I'd use her abundantly myself. . .great work.

I very truly like this shot. . the man's expression of concern or pain; his position in the photo; the surrounding elements and use of b&w; all of this make a very dramatic image. I wish though that he had been in sharper focus. The other elements appear to be a tad blurred also. . .still, a great shot.

Surprised you got a chance to shoot this without all the people ringing the edges. . .this was usually more crowded than Trevi. Wish I had thought to try the underside angle as you did. . .excellent idea.

Very remarkable and well done. . .this uncommon expression works uncommonly well in these tones. . .

Absolutely stunning. . .so very captivating in its deep tones and instantly-recognizable silhouettes. . .neat to see you got the white collars on these Canadas geese.

And see? I was going to guess this one for the Bosporus. . .too Turkish minded I guess.

I was going to guess Fener or Uskudar. . of course you know your Istanbul neighborhoods better than I do. The picture has a lot of human appeal but the elements for me do not tell a story, except to demonstrate that I am in Oklahoma and not in Turkey. . .

Very nice intensely personal expression. Enough lighting to recognize her long dark hair on her dark outfit, but excellent lighting all around. This is one where the dark backdrop very much complements the moody situation, as if we're interfering with the lady's privacy.

I very much like the DOF in this image but I would applaud more lighting in her eyes and face. The overcast day worked well for the DOF but robbed the rest of more clarity and illumination.

Very good lighting and nice bright colors. The lollipop adds an additional colorful detail. Nicely posed. Well done.

Wonderful DOF on this macro, though it looks like the main bulbs did not get a sharp enough focus. . .I truly enjoy this kind of work. Very nice image.

The DOF in this photo is perfect, but with the light background the girl's face is a tad dark. The expression and color though are remarkable.

Absolutely perfect! Nothing like a wonderfully composed shot with only a few basic elements and colors that speaks so directly to the human heart. This picture is so comfortable, familiar and cozy. . the kind of art one would like to hang on the wall.

Terrific! There is just enough light hitting the street to give the man a proper illumination. Very nice photo.

I think this is a wonderful shot for mood, color, composition and drama, but when you look closely at the couple they look terribly young. . .a very good shot though.

The pose and composition are very good for restless energy (which is important in a model) but her expression looks somewhat "shocked" rather than energetic. . .sometimes it's the photographer's fault for the error, sometimes the model's. . .here it's the model's fault. . .

Amen to the last comment. The textures are all terrific but the shadows eat this image alive. . as if too much dust has been sprinkled into the photo. Looks like you can be pretty innovative with this model, but by all means get some light into her face and eyes. . .

Yes, this has such a hurried look to it. . an abruptness in the composition, subject's face. . an intangible look at something perhaps we were not meant to see.

Fantastic photo. . .since discovering macros I've been on the hunt for praying mantises but without success. . .I'll take such a spider in a pinch though.
