Glad there were no cars around . . . looks like it would have been a dangerous shoot. Creative image. I like that we can see the road going somewhere, but we can't tell where. Thanks for commenting on my Yosemite flood image. -- Naomi

A bIP! congrats, Kevin and right next to it this excellent road photo, taken from a unique position and giving it a unique pespective.
Thank you for your very generous comment on my "From the field 4." It's definitely not a cactus flower and as I've been shown it on the portfolio of a non-Isreali, it cannot be limited just to Israel. Actually, it is a very common, grass like growth that aspired aggrandizatoin via the ring-flash.
Best regards,
Rafi

Great idea Kevin! I could not figure out what this was until I read your about, then it all made sense.

The way it is angled does make it look like a spider web.

Dear Kevin,
I have already commentd on this photo. I wanted to tell you that last night (June 12th) we ate in an Arabic restaurant and had, among other thins, falafel. I took a photo of the falafel and don't want to post it, but to send it to you. So please send an e-mail to
rafael1930@bezeqint.net
with "Falafel" in the subject line and I'll send the photo to you.
Best regards,

Hi Kevin,
I like the composition. The weeds growing through the tracks and the tire in front. The surrounding buildings and the train all look fine to me. The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the sky. (This could be my graphics card though and may not look the same on other peoples screens)
Sometimes I have to check an image on my son's pc before I post it just to confirm what most people will be seeing.

Here's the original. I cropped it, desaturated it, increased the contrast, added a blue tint to the midtones, and then I duplicated the image twice to make two semi-transparent layers, one with old photo blotches and one with extremely high contrast and a gaussian blur (32 pixel radius). I rather like the effect it gives, what do you think?

Dear kevin,
I forgot to thank you for your kind words about my "Toothbrush holders", so I do it now.
I look forward to eating falafel with you, but I don't know what spice you ate in the Old City. If we ever get there and you show it to me, I might be able to identify it. It can probably also be found in spice shops in Tel Aviv, but again, without knowing its name I can't help you.
Best regards,
Rafi
