I don't think this is too cliche Rob. I like it. Congratulations on photographer of the day honors. It was well deserved. I have been enjoying all of the beautiful landscapes you have posted recently.

Very nice capture Elangovan. I love the Muir Woods and was drawn to your photo as soon as I saw the thumbnail. It captures the mood of the area very nicely. Great job.

Happy Easter Mark. Very nice series. Kris did a great job on the displays and you two captured them very well.

The colors in this picture are great Tim. The clouds and rainbow really set off the rocks and water. Great job.

Very nice panorama Mark. I like the composition. The moon really completes the picture, like it is looking over the city. Well done.

Thanks Don. We visited the city two weeks ago for spring break and I was pleasantly suprised. I had never been before and we really enjoyed ourselves. We even rode the subway. The worst part about it was the weather. It was 11 the morning we visited the ESB.

Very nice macro work Mark. The color and detail are great. I agree with Evelyn that more blur or contrast would make the frame more apparent, but it is nice as is.

Nice shot Mark. It looks like the grill from a '53 Chevy or something like that.

Wow. This is a great picture Craig. I'll bet it's a strange feeling to be standing on the ground looking down at the clouds. Was there weather blowing in or is this normal?

You were all very close. I guess I wasn't as clever as I thought. It is a martini glass sitting on a bunch of colored lights. I think I'm going to give this macro stuff a rest and go back to outdoor pictures for a while. The flowers are about to bloom here.

This is very nice Don. I like the way the flash causes the background to go dark and pushes the subject out in front.

Hi Greg. Yes, I did take some action shots, but they weren't very interesting. I don't know if I can give you much advice about indoor sports photography that you don't already know or can figure out. My primary piece of advice - shoot lots of pictures because many of them won't be keepers. I notice that you shoot on film, so it may get a little expensive to go that route. The main problem is timing the action to get something interesting. Shoot with the fastest film and best lens you have. Color balance is a problem shooting under incandescent or mercury vapor lights. I don't know what you can do about that on film (post-process?). With digital you can set a different white balance point. I would also recommend shooting on shutter speed priority at the slowest speed you can hold. Don't worry too much about a little under-exposure you can post-process that out. A tripod might help you go with a slower shutter speed, but then the action shots get very blurred. I don't ever take a tripod to games.

Thanks Don. Yes, I went to the University of Kansas. I've been a huge Jayhawk basketball fan ever since.

Nice action shot. After shooting hundreds and hundreds of available light basketball and volleyball pictures I know how hard it is to get a good one. Good job.

Thanks for the comment Mark. Yes, it was hand held. Times square is incredibly bright from all the neon and other lights so I was able to shoot this at 1/30 s and had plenty of exposure to work with. I did very little PS work on this one. Here's the original shot as taken.

This is a very dramatic and powerful picture Rob. I grew up in Nebraska and remember many storms like this blowing up in no time. I can almost feel the wind change and the temperature drop.
