Danny,

This is a great photo, good composition, good color. I would suggest only posing the model so that her face is pointing to either side ... don't know why, just strikes me as preferable.

Congratulations!

Great shot. I haven't been lucky enough to catch an image of this caliber in the outdoors. Keep up the good work.

Danny, all your work always seem so well done, I really like this one but, I wonder if you could get the center a little brighter ? I think the purple would really set it off. Just my humble thought. Very nice.

What a beauty!! so i see you are a butterfly nut too!! lol.. which garden did you go to? I went to a butterfly expo here in Madison. That is where i got all mine. This is just so nice, I love the green color on the wings. It looks to be a swallowtail of some sort. Do you know which one? I could look it up in my book, but sometimes, these gardens bring in ones that are out of our regions. Just wondering.. i am really into learning about these beautiful delicate creatures. It has been fun, and a learning experience!
Regards, Cindy

I am jealous of your bug shots Danny, and yet at the same time, really very glad I don't have such scary looking creatures in my flower beds! nice work.

Terrence - Kim: Thanks for your comments. I always strive to get the best macro I can. This is the full size image. I once had a professional photographer tell me if the pictures are no good, you're too far away. I took him at his word. Thanks again!

Stunning detail Danny! I am always so jealous of your macros... they are always so superbly executed. Was this a major crop from the actual picture? Just curious, as I wouldn't think that a 90 macro could get this tight.

Absolutely surreal danny, such excellent macro work (im jealous as hell, heh), and even more impressive that you managed it with a 1sec exp instead of flash this round, great image~

I would like to have shot with you on this one. I think the angle is fine. The path in front takes away from the fantasy a little but you needed it to capture the purple flowers on the right. I would have been neck deep shooting at water level under the spanish moss. What fun.

lovely Danny. I would suggest a little closer in, either your angle or by cropping. The little stake across the water, what is that.

This immage gives me just anguish... sorry.
It's a good studied composition and also the shadows are good thought, but the last effect is groomy.
