Lovely colours and the lighting was excellent at that time of day too, it is a shame you couldn't get closer to isolate one of these wonderful animals. Just realised you had a 300mm lens too, they must have been very shy and wary. Thank you for sharing.

It is not real complex to learn but you might need to use the help files really powerful program and I think it sharpens way better than photoshop.

hi Dan...your the second person to comment on the "noise"..of course i realize it is there ...its due to having to crop the pic to get it to have the close appearance..she was quite far off..what is this program you spoke of..any chance of getting the address for it.??....ok...thanks for your comments..im grateful

This shot desperately needs some noise reduction. A run through Neat Image or Noise Ninja could make a huge difference. If you had a slight different angle you could have avoided having the fence directly behid the bird.

Hi Rex, this has a lovely late-summer (probably taken late august/ early september?) feel to it; with the oppressing atmosphere you get before an afternoon thunderstorm after a warm suffocating day. Wish it was summer again... Love those days.
