A great shot condsidering the difficulty on finding a spot to photograph him. Great title and nice composition. He looks like he's just spotted you taking his photo. He looks quite surprised. A candid moment. Well done.

Cheers - Ann

Beautiful image Marilyn! Gorgeous composition and detail, I love these guys! I wonder though why they call them red-bellied. My little grandson Runie just left today going back home to Tucson, been busy playing! Take care my friend! Darlene

Thank you Sudhir. Love the photo. I am trying to learn more and have started a butterfly garden but need to research more. Your kids would love it here, butterflies in the middle of winter! Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Marilyn

Very nice exposure Marilyn, it is so hard to seperate the bird from the background in a place like this. Very pretty bird. Don.

They're scattered all over, Marilyn! Looks like you'd need a boat to get close, then you'd probably scare them all away! Nice colours and reflections, btw.

It's always frustrating when they're back where you can't get at them, isn't it! Still you got a good shot of them through the brush, and even got the reflections!
Dave.

I like your use of reflection, Marilyn. Did you try any other shots where one of the ibises was a more prominent solo subject, vs. this group shot?

You managed to make what looks to my like fireworks look like a Christmas tree, dear Marilyn & I like that very much.
Thank you for all your very kind comments on my recent photos. They're especially appreciated because Massada is our equivalent to what I think the Alamo is to the US.
Happy 2006 to you & yours,
Rafi
