You won't win a prize for originality with this one Very nice realization of a stereotypical image! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

Thanks Bjorn! I find it hard to take photos of people, I had to try for that WPD'05 project.

Cheers,
Adrian

Re my previous message. I did a quick search and it seems that plant is not that dangerous: http://plants.usda.gov/cgi_bin/topics.cgi?earl=plant_profil e.cgi&symbol=COMA7

Good B&W! Well presented - as it's usual with your work. Congrats!

Did you know that pretty and wonderful smelling flower is very poisonous? I had no idea until recently ... it seems to be deadly if digested. (info not verified)

Cheers,
Adrian

Very different and interestting in the good way I had to look hard at it, but then it started making sense and I love it! the back turned at the viewer, the wing flat on the ground (carpet?) and a leg sticking in the air in the far of the photo ... what an image! congrats! A.

Thanks Peter! You are right about the crop, but all I can do is try to shoot it again since this is a 2:3 crop of a full 3:4 frame. Thanks again for looking and commenting! Adrian.

This is breaking the limits! You take a stereotypical subject (the ladybug) normally captured just sitting or maybe eating on a plant and shoot in flight! Well done! I'm not distracted by that OOF wing as musch as I am intrigued by the whole image. It took me a while to realize what I'm looking at it

I'll have to either calibrate the TFT I have at home or to get rid of it, because it might be it's too bright or something. Now that you mention it, they seem underexposed on my work monitor too, but this one is not calibrated either.

Thanks for the comment!

I read somewhere the species (red ear slider) is native to the south of US, but then on some page they were saying about it being introduced to western europe. I just hope it'll make it because at the moment I took the photo I didn't think the poor thing might need to be rescued. From what I've read it was a mature female maybe, because I'd say it had about 30 cm and that's about as big as they get. I don't know for sure ...
The pink think must some weed or part of a leaf on the forest floor.
Thanks for looking and the comment!

Nice image, we've got quite a few of these guys around, but so far I don't have any canada geese to show. Gotta try some more! Congrats on the capture and presentation!

I agree that the mouth open kind of says "scary" more than "scared". Unfortunately this was the best frame I've got then and I have the impression that the eyes alone wouldn't make such a good photo technically (with the left eye cut by the edge).

Thanks for looking and comment! Cheers!
