Woah. Nice one. What a capture! I love what you have done, with DOF (LOL) and color balance and texture and composition, quite a catch, glad it didn't pop when it alighted on the rug :-)

But above all else: Excellent Macro! 7+!!

I find Macro photography difficult, bought an expensive film camera macro elns and have not sufficently taken advantage... you have started me thinking again. :-)

Cool. Glad to see you are still using film, it looks better, I can tell - Black and White always looks better when taken on film.

AMAZING colors and silhouettes... WOW. really awesome, a "7" - you should sell it to stock photography and/or use it yourself for something - it's really excellent!!

You don't like the sun glare? I kinda like it because it does not affect the appreciation of the art sculpture, and adds another element to an otherwise stationary photograph, I think you often need sun and clouds and objects to make a photograph of a statue more engaging and active.

Amazing colors and contrast, really excellent control of lighting and shadow. I love the dark sunset colored background, the lit grass, and the contrasting colors and textures of her skin, the sky, the water, her sleek pants, and the living grasses. wow.

Great composition & colors! I almost wish the hiker was a pure silhouette, that might lend to a greater contrast among the shadow line and the yellow canyon, creating a starkness and effective highlighting of the dual subjects, rather than an ephermeral half-shadowed hiker.

Well, it is a wire and screen sculpture if I remember correctly, placed upon the desert floor. the eye was multifaceted and crystalline, probably plastic. Glad you enjoyed it!

hmm.. wow, that's strange, i guess its just the jpeg compression to make it smaller for usefilm, then. still might be sharper if you adjusted the levels a bit in a photoshop-or-similar application.

Best wishes,
-Sam

A lot of your images are really well done, but clearly representing simple ideas and forms that are recognizable. these aspects make them saleable as stock photos. have you considered putting them up in a stock photography company? digital submissions are easy at many companies now.

Best wishes,
-Sam

nice composition, great lines.

you can 'feel' it is digital, however, maybe you should shoot at a higher pixel number or use photoshop or another program to clean up the shadows and sharpness.
