Well spotted, the light part in the middle makes it a distinctive from a normal perspective shot, and it frames the persons, really an excellent, composition. How long did you wait for someone to walk by exactly at the right spot?

Sorgfältige Komposition und passend Farbwahl (Sepia), ein schöner Einstieg auf Usefilm, Fräulein Kuhlbars. Hoffentlich bekommen wir bald mehr davon zu sehen.

Excellent b&w image, the tones are very good. I had a look at your portfolio, and I think I will have to try the Fomapan slide film, see if I can get it here. Is the brownish colour cast normal for this kind of film? I like this look a lot.

Strong photo! The old hands and all the chrome look excellent in b&w, and the composition is interesting, this photo tells a story. However, the tank is empty, seems like the old car is going nowhere ;-)

Strong, carefully composed image. And you have a very impressive portfolio. I first had a look at your later picture from the museum, ::empty::, l liked it a lot, but this one is even better.

I could not do anything about the broom, it's not my café, I just strolled by and took the picture, I did not want to step in and ask them to put the broom away ;-)

Wonderful image, I especially like (apart from the priceless expression of the couple) that you have left a little extra "room" in the composition of the picture. Most photographers would have only framed the couple or put them centrally, but that you also captured some of the surroundings and that the man is looking into this direction makes it an outstanding picture. Was it a candid capture or a shot you set up?

Paul

Hello Mauro,
thanks for your comment, this shot seems to bring back memories, you were not the first one to be reminded of a solex of his past. All my recent b&w pictures look a bit old-fashioned, maybe it's the lab and the old camera...

Very interesting repotage photo, and thanks for the detailed description which added explanation for the appreciation of the picture. The composition of the picture is good, but to me, it seems to be a bit overexposed. When I work with slide film, I always set my camera to a 1/3 of a stop higher film speed, so for example 125 instead of 100, and the results are good.

Paul

Nice street photograph, I like it, the lonely waiting man on this gray day. The water is also well captured, and the composition is good, just as seen by someone who is just passing by.
