Its a great image. Diagonal contrast of subjects is very creative concept. Only distraction I found is the white object ( may be "third" bird) on the top left end besides the boat. I would have cropped that portion to enhance the subject and bring more depth by having 1:2 aspect ration between width and height.

Great image. Very impressive bird , great DOF, wonderful details and tones. I like images that are taken at eye level of a bird-it establishes a connection between subject and viewer rather than becoming just a routine image. Great work here.

Its a nice photo but the sky is way too overexposed may be in an attempt to bring out colors.
I have comment to the Usefilm Staff/Editors, how come this type of photo can be a "Best in Project"? when it technically not perfect? Please explain.

Yes, I too have captured Great Blue Heron. I haven't have seen white Heron. Heron is one of my favourite bird to catpure.
BTW, you have excellent lens too.
