OK let me clarify something for you, this is not a bad image, far from it matter of fact! I find this image very dark and moody, the vignetting only adds to this dark mysterious atmosphere, I love the fact that you used a slow shutter here as it makes the water appear soft. This is a stunning image, maybe not a colorful one, but brimming with moodiness! Excellence!

I have always wanted to go to New Mexico and I am thinking next summer break I may do just that! This is such a gorgeous image! I love the pastels and the ripples in the sand! An excellent capture you have made here!

Beautiful photo. I like the reflections in the wet sand and the birds in the foreground. My focus jumps from the rocks to the birds and it give a good sense of scale to the image.

EXCELLENT photograph here Phillip.

The sky almost becomes one with the sea.

Great work,

hey manu, thanks for your feedback on this photo, there isnt much texture to the rock itself, just two lines that run in different directions on the side of the rock, getting depth from this one almost doesnt happen cause of its angle and shooting into the sun, i could have burned the image and tried to pick out some detail out of the rock but would have ruined the mist that the ocean was putting up at the base of the rock,

thanks again for your feedback, its always welcome

Great composition and well balanced shot. My only nit pick is that the rock may seem a little flat..is there any definition in the original?

Also like all the little pieces, seagulls and the sky is very well exposed.

Cheers

Manu

Hi Phillip.
Nice shot.I like the way that you placed the vegetation in the frame, and the pastels.
It's amazing how the desert and the arctic are visually quite alike.
