David,

Once again - wow! Your images of Alaskan glaciers are unique and beautiful.

Hi Lydia,

I really like lily pads, and we so seldom see them here on Usefilm. Great color and perfect exposure. Thanks for sharing.

Laura

Hi David,

You've captured a beautiful array of blues here. Have you considered putting this image in the "Deep Blue" category as well as the Nature Category?

Hi Kareem,

Nice architectural shot. Great color and grain on the wall, and the I like the way lamp's shadow borders on the black dissolve.

Hi Elizabeth,

I really like this image. For me, abandoned workplaces evoke such vivid images of the past. They speak volumes about the activity that had once taken place there decades (or perhaps centuries), ago.

Hello,

This is a very unique and interesting image. I like the high-key look, and the way that this effect seems to have been applied to all except the hair and sunglasses. Very good post-camera work!

Hi Mike,

Great color saturation on this tulip. I like the focal point as well, and I often shoot my florals this way too.

Thanks for your comment on my chipmunk photo. I was amazed at how tame they are as well. Regarding the exposure, I must admit I had the camera set to "program". I only do this when I am taking photos as a tourist. So, in this case, the exposure comes courtesy of Nikon technology and an fairly pricey poloarizing filter!

Hello Ziad,

I have never seen an IR photo of an animal before - what an innovative idea! The IR gives the cat an absolutely luminous quality. Very nice!

It seems that animal photos are very popular on Usefilm. I submitted my first just yesterday, and have have more responses than the rest of my photos had gotten in such a short time. Thanks for your comment!

Laura

Hi Darryl,

I really love architechtural shots, and missions are a particular favorite of mine (is that two bell towers I see?). I like the way the tree branch frames the shot, as well as the incredibly saturated deep blue sky.

As to the chipmunks at Hoover Dam: It sounds like you and your family like to brave the great outdoors. I have no such courage, as I am a city girl through and through. The chipmunks can be found right outside the Hoover Dam gift shop! Note the pavement under their little feet in the photo...

Regards,
Laura

Hi Leo,

This really caught my eye, because blue is my favorite color. Very nice composition as well as color saturation.

Thank you for your comment on my rose photo.

Hi Maurizio,

Wonderful shot. I really like the subject, with it's old-fashioned latch and lock. Very nice choice for the border as well.

Hi James,

No, I do not live in Alaska or near Russia. My ancestry is Italian, albeit we have not lived there for many generations.

Carmen,

What a great super-wide angle image. I really like the converging lines that lead directly to the vanishing point on the horizon. There is a wonderful gradient in the sky, and I love the single, lonely cloud. Very nice to look at.

Hi Giovanni,

The beauty of this architechtural shot is in its simplicity. The unique angle adds interest. Wonderful texture and light/dark contrast as well.

Hi Loren,

It's nice to see a fisheye shot submitted here, we don't see too many of these. Great saturated color on the yellow-orange petals. Good DOF as well.

Hi James,

I really like your "psychedelic" post-camera work here. I had a chance to look at your portfolio, and I think you have a good eye and a great sense of humor!
