Cheers Michalis, it wasn't too hard. I'd spoken with the guy and arranged a fee (a hot drink, a sandwich and a chocolate bar). I lay opposite him in the street and it was just a case of waiting for the right frame to come along.

I must admit, I did get a few funny looks, I was sprawled on the floor in front of a burger restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. I got paid more attention than my subject, that's for sure.

I guess that it was hard to take such shot. The result is very good.
Well done,
Michalis

Excellent picture (although lm no professional)Just thought I would mention the huge coincidence that Im called Rebecca Hickling too & also grew up in Kinoulton. In fact, at a guess, was that picture taken in Hickling? I used to feed ducks there too! Small world!

Hello Ian!
Probably you ran to avoid your cousin to break your lens. LOL
No, just kidding.
A great, funny and blurried shot. )
Best wishes,
Renato

wonderful capture Ian. I love the desolate mood of the photo, especially the small boat sitting perfectly still in the middle of the water. Good photos provoke something more than visual pleasure. As I look at this I wonder where all the people are? why is this boat anchored out in the water with no one around? This image also brings back memories of the feeling of the air on my skin and the smells in the air.

Did you create this unusual image using camera motion or stationary with long exposure time? The bubbles look like streaks and the background is like fuzzy lumps. It's an odd contrast of color palette (between the streaks and the background). Nice shot.

Cernan, The clue's in the picture title.

It was sunrise in August 2006. I was woken by my little boy at 05:15 ... I was not best pleased with him.

We went for a walk from the cottage we we staying in and I think the sunrise was 06:00 ... I was best pleased with him.
