EXCELLENT! WOW! I really like the look of this image. It has an old masters feel to it. I'd love to obtain this effect with some of my own pictures.

You found the perfect balance between realistic photography and a purely painterly rendition.
It doesn't look compressed at all on my monitor.
I like how my eye travels through the image. It is refreshing, also, that my view starts on the right and ends up on the left in those beautiful callas. Quite a dynamic image!

Thanks everyone! Another one using the technique I've been working on, this time I added a soft texture overlay which is probably why Jorg thought it had compression noise. Looks much better in print.

Thanks ya'll! I've been working on a technique that gives a soft almost painted feel without sacrificing sharpness of the main subject. I think I accomplished it with this one.

Thanks everyone! Cropping a bit off the top sounds good to me. It's always good to get other peoples views on an image. Sometimes you just get too close and can't "see" a problem. :-)

Perfect lighting, colors are just wonderful, blue in the bowl, and repeated in the background, fantastic greens.
I'm not sure what effect you used in PS to get this, but it's really NICE!!

That's a good capture, unlike the apples photo, reasonable amount of the background and a nice foreground with the reflection of the peaches in it. I like the colour tones in your captures, good effects of PS.
