Nice capture. The depth of field that you have selected, having one duck in focus, really makes this an intimate shot.

Hi Jeroen, one of your best, I'd say. Not only the formation, but also the escort theme... Great capture.... If only there was just a bit more space on the right...

Cheers,

Hugo

Yes, it is the main landing gear coming up.
I caught the aircraft during takeoff for a display flight.

Great shot of this F15 Jeroen. Wondering what that is underneath the fuselage? It almost looks like a landing gear door but can't quite make it out. Great capture with the after burners. Great shot. Love it.

Cheers - Ann

Hey JT! Very moody indeed. I like (and usually I hate this, but..) the grains and textures brought out here. The BW is excellent too. Perfect for this shot and this project.

There is a rhythm to this image that is very pleasing. I like how the vertical elements contrast the strong horizon.

I know that in reality coastal scenes can appear somewhat wahsed out looking because of the salt spray but for aesthetic purposes to make a photo appear more crisp in practical applications I like what Hugo has done to brighten it up some. I like your original for a what you see is what you get image but to me it's more marketable if it's brightened up a tad. A beautiful scene. Which one is your folk's house? I could easily holiday there.

Cheers - Ann

Hi Jeroen, Very good shot, and I like the composition, the coastline and the surf, as well as the dark sky work well together. Leaving a substantial space below the rocks in the foreground emphasisesthe stormy weather. I think playing a bit with the levels, and (my personal thing) with the saturation, would push the tension a bit. Then, of course, there was that minute (only 0.69 degree) counter clockwise tilt.... When I was at it, I did tweak that too... Per attached my version. Curious to know what you think.

Cheers,

Hugo

Dear friend I read your comment that why people don't write comment to you. There you are. I am here for you.
I like your image from the point of < A HREF="http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1016281"> composition . In my openion would be better to use flash and help of reflector if the light is low. This image has a very poor quality, pixalation. Also would be better to crop that leaves on top of your image. Good luck and God bless.

Thanks for the comments.
By ugly I mean mainly too stylised and too little detail close up for something that size to enjoy at close quarters.

It's the best I could get out of 20 year old film that's been stored at room temperature all that time after going through some half dozen 1960s era X-ray machines.

This style of statue is similar to some we saw in Oslo. They're not ugly to me at all, although I would certainly agree that they are big! I'm glad you posted this one.

Static greeting... Interesting composition, and good to see some of your older stuff once in a while. it provides a nice reference to how much you have improved. Won't comment on things you already know (quality, mainly and a bit of scanning, tones, and such....

Cheers,

Hello Jeroen - great pic... I spent over a year in Sweden and took over 1000 pics of mushrooms! I love the lighting on this one and of course, the shape adds drama to the pic too. Shell.
