Nicely focussed chick... the leaf in the foreground is a little distracting, but for sure it's a SuperChicken photograph! Where is he now I wonder???

I think this is a great photo... particularly the composition. I'm not sure what you don't like about it - maybe its too warm for you? Personally, I like the yellows, but if you don't, I guess you could try playing with your colour temperature, or maybe underexpose it a little more with a touch of negative compensation? For me, it's got old world charm and I'd leave it just the way it is!
