Not bad, but a ladder to raise you up and clear the heads in behind would have helped and created a more interesting angle perhaps. Colour, expression and exposure are very good!!

Great pose, colours and contrasting frame up Peat, well done.. pity the two chaps with part of their face obscured werent more helpful in thinking about moving their heads abit.

Thanks for your comment on "Getting Ready"
so right they do grow fast and i need to experiment more with the kid pics, i didnt want Lissa to pose for that shot as it would have broken the spell of her having a moment with herself..
LOL ;o)

hello there thanks for your comment.

it was raining cats and dogs at a night game under lights. the lens was wide open and that was as high as the shutter would go.

even processing it in a digital lab.

its slightly out of focus as the rain was covering my glass's and making it hard to see. so i just trusted the cameras auto focus system.

have you try the kodak high speed film. i find it tends to go more grainy that fuji.

koncia used to make a cool 3200 iso colour print, but i cannot find any more of it in new zealand now.

cheers peter.

the action is amazing, But the shutter speed is weak, you should increase the shutter to be at least 750 or 1000 if the current light not helped you to do, then increase the ISO to 1600 or even 3200, The sports photographer always do that and they told me that, specially at night, but you should load real ISO 800 not pushed one.
PS. The 400 ISO you can push 3 stops - The 800 ISO you can push 2 stops - The 1600 ISO you can push 1 Stop, Never push the 100 & 200 ISO. Good luck
Greeting.
