The flatbed slide scanner chops to slide a pinch. I know it tight. This is why I want a real Minolta film scanner for 100% coverage.

Great composition. The women do make this shot. It is a hair tight on the right side but not a big deal.

Ben this is really cool, like the colors. Consider cloning out the leters in the ULC. The gals walking under the Big Wheel really makes it.

I had my 28-105 Nikon lens on the body when I came across these flowers so I shot the flowers. If I had used my 70-300, I could have got les D.O.F. but your right, the background could be a little less in focus. I'll rework in PS and resubmit. Thanks

I like the flowers and the composition. A lot less DOF would improve this a great deal. The pattern in the background fights with the heavy texture of the plants.

I like the cropping. The metering worked out well. The fact that you had such a hot spot didn't affect the dark areas much at all. The exposure could have been short and the dark stuff would have been too dark.

I see why you took it, ben ~ it's a grand building!
I think I might have just cropped away a little of the grass ~ perhaps as much as by a half, so as to give even more prominence to the building.
Kind regards, Chris

Yes, this is beautiful water and sky. Good composition with that spot of bright color in the foreground (the umbrella and the bathers)and the diagonal surf line that carries the eye into the shot. I wish I were there!

I like the perspective of the lawn lines leading your eye into the building, as far as the building, I like the contrast in colors, with the nuetrals and then the deep reds, the blue sky tops it off nicely.

Are you talking about the butterfly or the background colors. The butterfly's color was muted in real life. Thanks fro your comments...
