Take one part Mick Jagger, one part Iggy Pop, a dash of Nick Cave, and a pinch of Johnny Rotton and you get....
Fantastic work, as usual, Carl! LOVE your stuff, man. .>Brad

Yeah I know what you mean.
I am amazed at the amount of people I know that use digital and then spend most of their time looking at the image display. Their argument to me is that then they can go home happy knowing that the image is sharp and exposed nicely. If you're a photographer I thought those sort of skills were fundamental.
I'm like you and am confident with my skills to know when Ive got the shot. Though I must say that I am happy with my digital B&W conversions They require work in photoshop but nothing more than what I would be doing with them in the darkroom if I were using film.
My biggest gripe with the 20D is the lack of spot metering.
Cheers Mark

Hi Mark, -digital noise can't replace grain ;-) -Conversions from color to B&W with the same results like taking B&W film is as easy as finding the holy grail -I can push my film to 6400 or even higher -Funky effects with color stage lights at high iso rates Of course when you use flash, everything is different. But I hardly do that. BTW, I don't need that instant feedback with digital on concerts. I know if I shot something good or not. Take care! CB

There's so many cool details to look at in this pic: his painted nails, the bracelet, the shimmery scarf --- all attached to a guy who looks like he's ready to keel over. Ah the toll life on the road has taken. I love this shot C.H., you have a way of catching the perfect moment in all it's glorious detail. One other thing, the fact that his eyes are obscured by the hair is the icing on the cake. If the eyes are mirror to the soul I expect if we saw them that we'd be wondering how he's still standing. Yet like you said, he gave a great show. Very cool. cheers Russ

nicely over exposed!!! Don?t know if you have any control over it with the toy camera but its fantastic! Everything is going up! In my opinion your not taking enough cityscape photographs, not that I don?t like your concert portraits they are perfect its just that im really enjoying your cityscape! 7/7 thank you for your comments on my images
