It certainly is open. I wonder if it would have been more so in a wide format but I guess you chose this to emphasise the mountain. I would be inclined to crop most of the sky. This would bring more emphasis to the foreground and the mountain.

This image really needs to have the horizon line straightened! Can't tell if you used a polarizer or not...but this can help cut the glare on the surface of the water.

Hi James, a couple of things here that could be improved. I think landscapes always look better presented a little larger. I post mine usually wiht the larger side at between 650 and 800 pixels. Also, there seems to be a slight tilt to your photo, as though it is runnin downhill. The final presentaton would be much better without that. Nice area you have though. Keep posting!

Beautiful color and reflection. The lighting on the reflection is nearly perfect and the foliage being reflected is a little over exposed. This same shot a half a stop down would be perfect. A circular polarizer would also help deepen the color in the sky and remove aspects of glare with some control.

great colors!! they are vibrant all throughout. only little issue is that water got a bit too much of pic and not enough sky(my opinion). other than that a great shot!! keep it up

Use of a Circular Polarizer would enhance the sky and colors in the reflection showing in the water......still a nice composition.
