It always disturbs me when some of my favorite places are destroyed by storms, or other things. Lovely photo, Paul.

Gayle, Thanks for the comment, I have a lot to learn with this new medium and it looks to be a fun journey at that. It has been raining here it seems forever and if it ever quits, I may get the chance to get out and use it again!

hi,i must say that this image has the color saturation of Kodak MAX 200 film and am very surprised, but delighted to know should i ever be able to go Nikon digital...very picturesque scenic,Paul...suitable for a regional calendar,or postcard...good FG interest and love the rough hewn wood fence which is at a nice diagonal...good placement of the red barn within the framing and that red is the exclamation point!

regards,gayle

hi,this makes an interesting architectural abstract...i love rustic barns/structures...i took this one into paintshop pro8 for minor adjustments...i tweaked the contrast and straightened the shot to be level horizontally...not sure if you do any post-edit with PS,but the minor changes i did could be done in-camera,too

Sid, Thanks for the comment, I have shot film for about 10 years and I figured if I was going to get back into photography, it is time to update my equipment. With new ways there is always uncertainty but it is fast diminishing. I just hope that I can please my old editors with my new style and ways!! You have a nice gallery started, keep up the great work

Paul

welcome to the digital fan club. My limited photography talents and hence digital cameras are a boon.

I love the fence and the old wood and the way you have captured it. the focus of attention of this photo flows very wel across and top to bottom due to the fence.

Nice photograph

Sid

So far I really like the D200, and thanks for stopping by my gallery, you have an impressive gallery as well. Your new "patient" Mississippi Greg has been a friend of mine for a good while, I only spent 3 times shooting with him and we remain mostly computer companions but it is still a blast, I really need to hook up with him again soon. See ya!
