The mist really works to set-off this person in this jumbled world of ice.

Beautiful reflection and colors. If I were to crop it, it would be off the top. You will still be able to see the sky in the sand, and it is the reflection that is less common to everyday experience.

I have looked at this picture many times, and when I am out shooting I often think of it, wondering if I might composed the elements to produce something of similar quality.

Very sexy, but the contrast is too strong in my opinion. It also looks like you tried to sharpen an out of focus picture. I do like the composition and the concept of the picture.

Absolutely fantastic image. The strong light and warm colors set against the blue gray sky is very powerful.

Truly superb image. The color and quality of light as well as the range of tones are beautiful. I am surprised this has not been recognized by the editors.

Lea,

Thanks for the comment. The reflection is actually of trees on the mountainside beyond the lake. I can't say I know the owner of the boat, but I did take several pictures of it over a few day period.

Classic shot. Great composition and atmosphere. The trees alone would have been great, but the person in the vanishing point makes it a real 7.

regards,
David

fabulous shot. It is kind of surreal in you can't really see the surface of the water.

Nice subject, artfully composed. I like the coloration; it kind of highlights the CA you are getting from that Pentx lens

Great perspective. I assume you considered this without the tree to the left? or the fence? I am just wondering what your feelings are about these elements, and how you chose to compose the shot in this way.

Regards, David

Beautiful color and composition. Nicely framed as well. I think it needs to be printed rather large to be able to get a feel for the juxiposition of scales.

I love this one. The lines of the flowing sheet direct one to the man, who is nicely pushed to the side of the frame. The shape of the negative spce, along with the simple color palatte creates a nice form.
