I actually like this crop. The upper right of the image is a bit too bright for me. If you try similar type shots, maybe watch the lighting so that the foreground is brighter that the background. This will make for more impact and drama.

Does your camera have mirror lockup function? The mirror going up and down can cause camera shake.
