A fantastic composition with a great palette and tones. The diamond of the aurora and the triangle of the tent are nicely separated by the rounded hill. Very well done!! And congratulations on a super award.

I've always loved photos of the Aurora and yours is spectacular! The orange of the tent is a nice contrast to the green of the aurora and provides some wonderful visual balance and interest. I know how difficult it can be to capture the aurora and you have succeeded beautifully with this picture. Nicely done!

I can almost hear the "X Files" music in the background. Luckily I know what it is and "It is out there". In more ways than one. Very pleasing and easy on the eye, and yet there's alot going on. From the warmth of the UFOlike tent to the star studded sky and the ghost like Arora Boralis, or something like that. In all an Amazingly spookily fantastic shot! Well Done.

Terrific shot. The shape of the aurora is wonderful. The tent in the foreground adds a great compositional element in terms of colour as well as giving the viewer a perspective as to the immensity of the sky and its show.
Congratulations on a well deserved SC.

P.S. I just realized it has been a long time since you posted an image. I hope you find your way back here and post again. Your homeland is so beautiful, I just love to see scenes from Norway.

This image came up again because of Usefilm's "One Year Ago Today" feature. I am so glad that it did, because I missed it when you posted it a year ago!

Even though this comment is late, I must say that your image is really striking. The wonderful capture of the aurora borealis is as good as I've seen. I really like the contrast between the muted tones of the borealis and the very warm tent that is lit from within.

The whole scene is mysterious. Maybe I am too philosophical, but this hints at man's place in the universe. I am captivated!

cool arora, i like the forground, i feel thats usually my problem and why i dont do any night shots because i always have a problem with what to put in the forground and if its going to get exposed correctly, you did a great job here...
