hi Michael,

Excellent compsoition and buildup towards the lighthouse - the bald rocks lead the eye nicely past the undergrowth, and the autumn colours are great. Very solid shot, well captured!

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanx for the comments...

I'm currently reworking it a bit in PS, this is pretty much a straight scan, and your right it is a little flat, but I was losing my shadows when I went to a higher contrast. In the reworked version I was able to bring out the outline of the Miller sign, using levels and a mask, but it's very tedious work. Hopefully I get around to doing this on some of the delicate shadow areas.

Wow that?s an awesome shot, I wonder if you would get such a great image with a digital.
..What would you think about adding more contrast...maybe it's my screen

Wow.. I think the small format here doesn't really do the quality of the photo justice. But it looks like it's very detailed and clear. As it seems no truck was passing for 15 min.

Alone but not afraid. I love the lighting and the detail you captured on her face...everything is so in focus even her eye. Very nice.

Michael,
Excellent Black and White image.
Great contrast, exposure and very detailed.
The image is quite busy, but works never the less, I think that the numbers 1 and 2 and the tank in the center provide a point of focus for the viewer.
Good to see someone still using a great film in a great size.
Just some random thoughts.
Excellent Work!!
