A wonderful composition and a beautiful scene. The shadow areas are a little problematic, but the highlights held well. You did a nice job with this very challenging lighting situation. Good work . . .

Regards,
--George

Way cool. Good idea to catch it in action. That separates it from the routine "beauty shot." Well done. . .

Well, it certainly is a beauty. I like the gentle irony of the power lines counterpointing the classical form of the roof.

Best of luck,

Thanks, Bill, you're right about the "bluish streak." I believe it's a just a shadow. The blue tone is also present, although less obvious, in some of the shadow areas on the left of the picture. Good eye . . .

What you say is quite true. The problem--and it is ours--is that we are drawn to such events and images. In your shot, you show us how to see past the performance and glimpse the truth. Well done . . .

Best wishes

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. The angle you suggest is a fine idea. This shot was taken in the midst of fairly heavy traffic, and so I shall try again at another opportunity.

Unusual and effective tonality. Looks as if a storm might be moving in. The highlighted people and the boat are beautifully defined.
