Alessandro: That is the ocean at the end of the stairs. I took this early in the morning during the peak of high tide. The surf was really roaring that morning.

Good idea, Eddy; unfortunately, I ran off and forgot my tripod. I wanted to shoot this at about 1/30 or perhaps 1/4 of a second, but couldn't manage it hand-held.

nice composition although i would like to see how it goes if you push it to different extremes : very fast shutter and very slow shutter..it should be interesting to see these two extremes.
