Hi Ken,

thanks for the critique It was hard to get good shots. In another shot, the dogs face is seen better, but a small part of the tail is missing! I'll try to post it tonight if my on call duties aren't too onerous

Flying is going well. Used to scuba when I was in the Navy. It was great fun.

Thats another splendid image. You have captured the essence of activity on that feild very well. Love that stupid look on the sheeps faces.

The wires are distracting and are an eye sore. Nees to go.

regards,
ken.

Ho lovely. Excellent sports image. I am surprised at the clarity of focus and very minimal DOF. Wonderful.

Jon, nice to see you posting again after a while. Hope to see more of you pics.

How is your flying going? I havn't flown for more than a year at this stage. I have recently started learning scuba diving. Very interesting as well.

regards,
ken.

Jon: A friend of ours just sighted one of these in the Gulf of California. Only the third confirmed sighting that far south. They are beautiful creatures and this is an extremely nice capture. I love the texture of the water.

A bit screwed and somewhat lacking contrast. Washed out. But nothing that couldn't be fixed in PS. I would also suggest to put the horizon lowed, rule of thirds style, as the water doesn't really add anything.
Besides this, a nice landscape..

Nice shot for comp. A little soft but that is understandable for the overcast skies. Notice how the lake level is tilted? Rotate a few degrees CCW.

BTW, great camera!!

Excellent !
Very good detail and the colors and saturation are very pleasant and soft, but not so soft that the sea don't show up.
Very good composition.
