Hi Jenni,
I spent in Helsinki 2x2 weeks, and i can say it's a perfect place.
I've visited Porvoo, Fiskars and few another places around.
It's a country of wonders for me. So I really like it.
Photo you've asked, was taken in Paris 8 years ago, the woman in the hand
of the statue my wife since 1989, so it's sweet enought for me, but I can
agree with you.

Great colors. We also get occasional views of the northern lights here (lat 49.5 deg). I have never successfully captured these with my camera, however. Interesting attempt. I agree, a tripod or make-shift support would have offered contrast between ephemeral light and sharp trees in the foreground.

Hi Jenni,
I like this atmosphere, this is kind of Finland.
Check my "Watch Over".
About the bears: the distance abt. 150 meters, ans the scene was
captured from a look-out tower in a reservation for bears.

Daniel, actually this picture was not taken from a moving car. Instead, I stopped the car, got out of it and took the picture helding the camera in my hands. The exposure time was long, more than a minute and naturally my hands were shaking a little. Unfortunately I did not have a tripod at hand that time. Still, I am quite pleased with the picture.

This is something I'd give anything to see and photograph. I lived in Sweden for a while but right down the south so I never got the chance to see it. I will one day - I have to. I love the flourescent green and considering it was taken from a moving car (I presume), I think it's very good ...hope you weren't driving yourself! Well done Jenni.

Bella la tua foto, il soggetto č interessante ed ha bei colori, buona l'idea di lasciare un po' di spazio sopra, peccato che ci siano molti elementi di disturbo, l'ombra, il triangolo grigio-blu, si potrebbero togliere con PS, ma sarebbe meglio fare un altro scatto se possibile. Nice shot, Jenny. The only thing I don't like is the shadow at the top of the image. I think it could be interesting to crop the image (or better yet, to reshoot it if possible).
Otherwise, the composition is nice, the colors are great, and the light is good.

Hi Ray, thank you for your comment. Hmm, sorry to say, but I prefer the original one. The one you adjusted seems jst a hint artificial to me. I took the photo indoors with no flash. Therefore, the light is as it is.
