I like how the tree in the foreground contrasts with those behind. I too, like the way the colors are layered.

Pictures I look for. Interesting people are not that easy to find. Good job.

Wondering two things: how it would look in B&W and how it would look with some of the right side cropped.

Look at that look. He's not as excited as you are with your new camera. But he puts up with you.

Good portrait of your bud! And great first picture with your new camera.

Another good Mississippi River shot. Lots of stuff to study in this photo. You're lucky to have the great river apparently in your backyard.

Good night shot, excellent presentation. I miught have been tempted to blacken the sky above the bridge buyt the glow does look fine.

Your portfolio already looks stunning, Kurt. I'll be watching very close since you and I shoot with the same camera. Well, same brand of camera; I own mine, you own yours.

I like this. It's mean, yet brilliant with light on the main subject. It definitely portrays a sense of urgency on the part of the tug crew.

Very pretty and sharp. I'd crop a large part of the right hand side off to make the composition more interesting, and to get rid of that big white spot that is quite distracting. This photo has great potential. Would be interested to see the cropped version!

I love the reflection and the colors... since you were using a 100mm you could not zoom in. I think there is a lot of "dead" space at the top of the photo which could be cropped. I would love to see this bridge at a different angle and a little closer (may not be possible ) the straight on shot makes it look a little flat. Again.. I really like the reflections.. they seem to lead my eyes to the bridge.. nice work
